To boost the Puna economy and sustainability one entrepreneur at a time.

Mission:
To design, develop an implement a virtual entrepreneurial hub for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners which would provide professional business training, coaching, mentoring, business planning and resources to support them through business launch or re-launch.
Impact:
Fact: 99.9% of businesses across the US are small businesses and nearly half of all U.S. employees are employed by a small business. With those statistics, launching and supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses in Puna will increase the standard of living by creating jobs, increasing the income levels and serving the communities’ economic needs.
What is the Puna Rising Entrepreneur Hub?
Puna Rising operates an entrepreneur hub that is designed to support and empower aspiring and established entrepreneurs. Located in Puna, the hub is a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about starting and growing their own businesses.
Puna Rising’s entrepreneur hub offers a range of resources and support to help entrepreneurs succeed, including access to workspace, business development workshops, mentorship programs, and more. It may also provide access to funding and investment opportunities, as well as connections to industry experts and advisors.
The goal of Puna Rising’s entrepreneur hub is to create a supportive environment that fosters innovation and helps entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of starting and growing a business. By bringing entrepreneurs together in one place, the hub aims to create a sense of community and provide a platform for sharing ideas, knowledge, and resources. Whether you’re just starting out as an entrepreneur or you’re looking to take your business to the next level, Puna Rising’s entrepreneur hub can be an invaluable resource for your success.
This second program of the Entrepreneur Hub will primarily target Native Hawaiian or mixed Hawaiian heritage applicants.
Phase 1:
Phase 1 of our Mission is to interview and select 10 aspiring entrepreneur applicants for this Entrepreneur Hub program, 2025 – 2026. If you are not selected as part of this program, by submitting the application form you can still have access to the program trainings and can attend the events.
Phase 2
Phase 2 of our mission at Puna Rising is to create a full-service entrepreneur hub that provides business start-up training, workshops on collaboration, dynamic leadership, communication and conflict resolution, team building, professional skills, and change and transitions, coaching and mentoring sessions, information on marketing and funding resources, networking opportunities, and business launch support for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Those who are selected as the 10, must agree to attend the entire program, including the Zoom trainings and the in-person events.
